Meet sage! She’s a 4 year old gorgeous pup our family adopted from a motorcycle shop in 2019. She is such an incredible pup! Sage has become an amazing emotional support animal for myself and the family. She has a big personality, is super silly, gives great snuggles.
Sage learned from the best, her big brother Baxter, how to be there for her people. We didn’t realize how much emotional support we got from our Baxter. In early 2020, Baxter passed away unexpectedly from cancer at 9 years old. My world was falling apart without my Baxter.
Sage, new to the job, took Baxter’s place as our emotional support pupper. She helped us get through all our tears and heartache over loosing Baxter.
Help us give Sage lasting relief from her pain
Sage needs surgery to fix her knees. Sage tore a ligament in her back left leg, and the right side is nearly as bad. My sweet girl also has pain in both back legs from her messed up kneecaps that won’t stay in place anymore. Thankfully both problems will be addressed in the surgeries.
Sage will get the left leg done first, followed by 4 months of recovery time. Then she will get the right side done, followed again with 4 months of recovery time. The cost for each surgery is estimated to be around $5,000 at the UF animal hospital.
